The Red Clay Ramblers appeared as the medicine show band in Sam Shepard’s second feature film, with River Phoenix, Richard Harris and Alan Bates. The movie also featured clowns Bill Irwin and David Shiner, who subsequently teamed up with the ‘Blurs in the Broadway hit, Fool Moon.
